Aminci a 30-year old participant from the remote community of Imbru in Numan local government is demonstrating the potentials and power that lies in supporting young women through access to finance, capacity strengthening and community based market linkages.

Aminci has not only improved her production capacity but has also embraced innovation, branding and packaging to enhance her business after receiving the business grant by participating in the innovation challenge.

“with the help of the business development volunteer in my community, I wrote my business plan and submitted. Eventually I got the grant of 300,000 (NGN) after a pitching session was conducted. I was able to buy an electric refrigerator, new bottles and branding stickers”.

Aminci who has been doing the soya milk business for the past five years is now experiencing much sales and the cost she incurs regularly to buy ice blocks for cooling has now drastically reduced and her profit margin increased; she now saves between 6,000 – 7,000 (NGN) a week from selling her chilled branded soya milk in Imbru.
